I was surprised to see a Monarch butterfly. I can't recall ever seeing any around my house. Although I've learned much about butterflies lately, and that Monarchs come through this area. I like to think that I attribute my siting to my newly designed butterfly garden. The butterfly flew right toward me, circled me, and then flew over the house. I didn't see it again. I guess it was just passing through on it's way North.
