Just before the Easter weekend, on Thursday, April 20, one lonely tulip was noticed in this year's bed at Frontenac School. Returning after the 3 day weekend we counted 8 tulips in our 1999-2000 Journey North site and 6 in our 1998-1999 site. We had also planted some crocus bulbs in the grass and they are up and blooming. We're hoping for some rain now but not only for our tulips as everything is quite dry throughout the province of Manitoba. We surely would like to see those bright red blooms this year!
