Dear Journey North,
Our tulips are finally blooming. Three bloomed on the 19th of April and the others have followed in a few days. Anders was the first, then Rachel's and Eleanor's. The tulips on the south side of our circle bloomed first. We think that is because it is closest to the sun. Most are blooming there with those on the north side of the circle blooming a few days later.
We have enjoyed watching the leaves grow taller and the buds bloom. Now that the buds are open we can see the pistil and stamens. We wondered if the stems would ever grow. Some plants have another bud forming on the stem. We are so excited. We wonder how long it will take before the petals begin to wilt? I guess we will have to watch and see.
