We had 12 Monarchs saturday April 8 2000. 2 in Morehead City, NC, 2 in Croatan NF along Mills Swamp rd in Carteret County, NC and 8 moving along the Nuese River at the Nuese River Park (Croatan NF) in Craven County, NC.

All the ones along the NueseRiver were very much on the move i`m sure if we`d stayed there would have been many more, we were there for only 30 mins. The ones along Mills swamp road were nectaring on Cirsium horridulum, Common Yellow Thistle and the ones in Morehead City were nectaring on Crimson Clover.
