I just saw my SECOND Monarch of the spring--at Shakespeare's Birthday Party at Botanica in Wichita. Although they have a butterfly garden, I saw the Monarch in the Blue Teaching Garden, about 6:00 pm on a cool (about 70 degrees), breezy evening. I tried to get closer to see sex and condition, but he/she took off as I approached.
