The pair of bald eagles nesting on an island on the Connecticut River in Massachusetts now are caring for two chicks. The first egg hatched April 15; the second, April 18.
The eggs were laid March 10 and March 13. The average incubation time is 35 days.

This morning (5/3/00), one of the adults was feeding to the two eaglets at 7:50 a.m. It is neat to watch this nest in real time.
