After following journey north the last several weeks I realized that hummingbirds were closer than I had previously thought so I put up my feeder on April 29, 2000. I was very excited to see my first hummingbird May 2, 2000. In previous years I didn't put up my feeder until the middle of May. Thanks for your valuable information. I now can enjoy seeing the hummingbirds a few weeks longer this year.
