After sending my previous message this morning, I went out for my run along
Chicago's lakefront. I was going by this one area to see if the A. syriaca
that I know is there had sprouted yet. It didn't. However, I got a
surprise, I saw my first Monarch of the season. It was brilliant colored
and big. I couldn't tell what sex it was. It was headed NW across lake
Michigan. It was on a mission and didn't meander much.
