Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/08/2000

Number: 1

Hi, my name is Anne Houston. I am a parent of one of the student's in Ms. Brosnihan's first grade class at New Ludlow School. On May 8, 2000 at 3:00pm while waiting for the children to be dismissed from school, a beautiful Monarch butterfly flew by my head in the back yard of the school here in Worcester, Massachusetts.
My name is Matther Letourneu. I am a first grade student in Ms. Brosnihan's class. When I went to school this morning on May 9, I saw a Monarch butterfly. It was on my Mom's bush eating. The bush was an Azalea bush. I was very excited. I got to announce it to the whole school over the loud speaker. My class has been keeping the school updated on the Monarch Butterfly's migration back to Worcester. I was proud to be the first child in our school to see a Monarch.
