Fifth grade student,Anne Brinkhaus in Mrs. Smith's science class reported seeing a monarch on a geranium plant in her back yard on the afternoon of May 10th. It was cloudy and cool and drizzling. Anne observed the monarch for about 2 minutes. It was brightly colored. We have been watching for monarchs for several weeks. She is sure it was a monarch.
