I saw my first monarch adult in the Bath, Michigan area (5 miles N of Lansing) yesterday (Sunday 5/7/00). I saw one adult that appeared to be in good shape but it didn't stick around long enough for me to get a really good look or deteremine the sex. Common milkweed plants are about 3-5 inches tall and lilacs are in full bloom.
