Saw our first adult monarch this morning at 11:00 AM. It was a female in good condition. We watched while it fed on some tropical milkweed flowers that we had just put out yesterday. We had been growing the plants indoors from seed since last fall. We watched with great excitement as the butterfly sat on the bright orange blossoms and then started laying eggs on the underside of the leaves!
