Observed our first Monarch on 5/20 while driving on the highway! It was ahead of us and was flying over an intersection about 15-20 feet high. We were traveling west, and it was flying in an easterly direction.
Then, on (5/21) we saw another monarch just leaving the garden after nectaring on dwarf lilac. It's flight was somewhat labored and it was not fresh-looking.
No eggs seen on milkeed yet.
