Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/26/2000

Number: 1

Today (5/26/00) I found my first two monarch eggs here in Massachusetts and right in my own back yard. We are in Hull, Massachusetts. My students spotted a monarch at recess on Thursday (5/25/00), and my husband saw one also. This morning I saw one too (5/27/00). I have also seen about one dozen eggs over a very large area of town on my walks.

My students were really excited about seeing the monarch on Thursday and tried to send in the observation. They love looking at that map. They were also thrilled with the paper butterflies they received from Mexico. Thanks for providing such an incredible project.
