My first Monarch this spring (Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada) Finally, they are here. I was coming from a marsh where I had the luck to hear a Least Bittern (yes!) when I saw it. It was a female, dying along the roadside, hit by a car. Up to now the spring here has been rainy with temperature under the normal.
