I was working in my classroom with the window open. I turned and there was a monarch in my classroom. I caught her and put her in a container for two hours. Her wings were faded but whole. I brought some milkweed in thinking I would keep her but she was not happy in captivity so I released her. To my surprise she left 2 eggs on the milkweed! What a wonderful way to begin my school year.
