Twice during the day I saw a monarch fluttering around my flower garden. I was excited because for the first time since I became a part of the study 3 years ago, I had seen a monarch in MY garden and not somewhere else. The butterfly would land on a leaf or flower and rest for a minute. Then it would go to a different part of the garden.
