We had a difficult time finding monarch caterpillars this season-we suspected as much when a number of us spotted monarchs flying in mid-to-late July. It seems to have been an early season- cool and rainy summer conditions perhaps contributed?
At our school, we have about 15 chrysalis' that should be hatching within the week.
