Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/13/2000

Number: 1

As many as four monarchs at a time feed voraciously on the buddleia blossoms, dahlias, lantana, sedum and great blue lobelia. These look like new hatchlings and are intent on nectaring for the journey ahead. The weather has turned cooler and a large high pressure area is predicted to slide down Wisconsin in the next day or two.
