Saw our first monarchs since last spring. On Aug. 17th, the temp was 101 with a south wind. During the night a front came thru from the north bringing complete cloud cover and north wind with the temp at 6 AM of 68.
We saw the monarchs, 2 females, in the afternoon of the 18th nectaring on zinnias and mexican sunflower. The temp was in the upper 80's, no wind and sunny.
