On Sat.,Sept 16, Morton IL held its annual Pumpkin Festival Parade. I generally see numerous Monarchs the day of the parade, always held the same weekend in September. It was a sunny day in the low 70's. I saw no Monarchs the entire day. A student of mine brought in two she caught in her garden in Delavan on the 17th about 30 miles southwest. I'm curious as to why there were none sighted.
