Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/20/2000

Number: 1

I'll add to the "Where are the monarchs?" data. I've collected
caterpillars for years to teach the metamorphosis and migration to my third graders and this is probably the worst year that I have seen. We've looked in so many milkweed filled feilds and patches beside the roads and have found so little. We are raising a few to tag for Monarch Watch but not many. We miss
them. And, of course, we've also seen very few adults this summer or early fall. Thanks for the work that you do for the monarch.
