Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/24/2000

Number: 1

9/23/00, Saturday, 6:30p.m.: A strong northerly breeze had picked up, causing noticeable movement in the tree limbs and leaves of these protected yards. Only about half of the
number remain in the yards at 1801 & 1803 N. Sam Houston, in Odessa, TX. It appears to me that as the breeze strengthens, the butterflies are blown in a southerly direction to rest in other areas of the neighborhood.
