Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/24/2000

Number: 1

From 8:30 a.m. to 5 pm on the 24th of Sep, we saw 132 monarchs migrating south or southwest. Some were very high, drifting past at limit of our binoculars. Others were fluttering by at our feet.

We also saw Common Buckeyes and Red Admirals migrating. Two dragonfly species were migrating: Green Darners (only 3) and Black Saddlebags (22).
