The last time I saw any number of monarchs together was Sept. 19. The temperature was in the 80's. There were a few more days of warm, but very windy weather, and then the temperatures dropped dramatically. It's been very cool the last few days (lows in the low 40's and highs up to 60 degrees) I haven't seen any monarchs now for about 5 days. The temperatures are to be in the 70's this week. I wonder if we'll see more? My guess is our peak is over. I agree with you. I haven't seen as many monarchs this year either.
