My class helped to develop an Outdoor Teaching garden last spring with the help of money I received from the Georgia Outdoor Classroom Grants 2000. We developed a barren area adjacent to our classroom and now have a wonderful wildlife habitat and have just received notice that we have been designated a National Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. In addition, at present we have four monarch chrysalises in a jar in our classroom that came from milkweed plants in the garden. We are eagerly awaiting their emergence so that we may let them go in the garden and send them on their way to Mexico! I look forward to heari!
