Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/04/2000

Number: 1

The Monarchs are still heading south through here. They have been flying through my yard since early this morning. Just one, two, or three at a time. This afternoon 2 just stayed a couple of hours or so in the yard going from flower to flower. It is still in the 90's here, with a cold front coming tomorrow night or Friday morning. There is still a freeze warning for the weekend- we will see if it makes it - usually our first freeze is the end of October! There has been a strong wind from the south yesterday and today.
It is just so beautiful to watch them knowing they are on their way to Mexico.
