October 3,2000 I was at the butterfly garden counting and the monarchs seem to be picking up here. I counted 10 monarchs in 2 hours, and
yesterday, October 4,2000 I counted 15 monarchs in 2 hours which is the most we have seen so far. Others who were at the garden later (but not counting) said that they saw many more monarchs than usual during the time they were there.
