Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/11/2000

Number: 1

At approximately 2 pm to 4 pm on Wed., Oct. 11, we saw over 50 monarchs from our backyard in central Georgetown, Texas. They flew either singly or in pairs or a few triplets in the same pattern down the north-south street adjacent our house, heading south and then a little west. Amazing to us that they all flew in the same exact direction, and how beautiful and large they were. A few stopped to sip on the crepe myrtle blossoms in our backyard.
