A healthy,mature male grackle arrived at the backyard feeders last Thursday. He spends a good deal of time at the top of the honey locust tree calling out in all directions, but does not seem inclined to continue on his migration path. I hope he will survive the winter if he has, in fact, lost the urge to migrate!
