We planted 100 tulip bulbs on Wednesday October 25, 2000 in brilliant sunshine. The temperature warmed to 66 degrees as we dug through layers of soil to place our Red Emperor bulbs seven inches deep! We also laid a fine mesh over the bulbs so squirrels and deer don't tamper with our experiment. We're hoping for 100 beautiful red tulips lining the entrance to school in spring!
