I started planting my wildlife site three years ago and its going strong...13 mullberry trees, 12 butterfly bushes, Cuphea (hummers love them,,,they are FULL of nectar) beautyberry bushes..I've seen lots of different birds fighting over these berrys so I'll plant lots more in the spring. lantana, and I've had a little trouble finding the host plants for the butterflys but slowly but surly...pipevine, dill, queens anne lace, spicebush, maypop, waferash tree,I also will be planting lots of buttonbush trees this spring...butterflys love them..14 cedar trees..water features (3)..well, I have a lot more open land to plant so the plants will greatly increase...gonna plant elderberry, hackberry, lots of native vibrunum,...I joined the Miss. native Plant Society, and the Audubon Socity..to help find the plants I need...toodles...oh yeah, the pyracantha I have two large shrubs of these and the birds LOVE it...if the bluejay would let them get to it...
