7th grade science students planted approximately 80 tulip bulbs. There was about 4 inches of snow on the ground, and it was snowing at the time of planting. The soil was still very soft. Last quarter, my students also planted tulips, but it was in October. I have new students this quarter that also wanted to participate in the tulip project. That is why we planted the tulips so late.
