Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 11/17/2000

Number: 1

My Mexican Milkweed in my garden has 12 monarch larvae this morning. Rainy weather and chilly air appears to effect their activity.
They are very still today, although the leaves of the milkweed show that they have been munching away. The larvae are all sizes, from 1 inch in length to less than a 1/4 inch in length. I will continue
to monitor their progress. More cold weather on the way.
