We planted one bed as a control group and another bed as an experimental group. The control group followed all the journey north requirements. In the experimental bed we planted some bulbs flat side up, some 9 inches deep, some 4 inches deep, and some 2 weeks later than the other bulbs. The day was cool and rainy, but the rain held off long enough for us to plant. We also planted a few bulbs near the school building and a few others on a north facing slope in shade.
