We planted our tulips on a beautifully warm October day. After carefully siting our garden away from the school building and foot traffic, we dug an eight inch deep hole large enough to accomodate 33 tulips (one for each student and one for the teacher). We watered the bulbs thoroughly after covering them and firming the soil. All of us are looking forward to watching from our classroom window as the tulips emerge next spring.
