While out rideing today, I noticed patches of very green grass. particularly in low spots that faced south, where the snow had been deepest.The green spots looked very bright surrounded by the dead brown grass. Also the maple trees in the woods are begining to show pink tips and buds on the branches. I live in Meadows of Dan,in the Blue Ridge Mountians of Southwestern Virginia. The elevation here is 3,200 feet above sea level.
