Re: overwintering redwing blackbirds
At Lynde Shores Conservation Area on the north shore of Lake Ontario near Whitby, Ontario (east of Toronto), there was a group of 6-7 redwing blackbirds, mixed male and female, along the feeder trail. The males did not seem to be in prime breeding form, with just the minimal yellow stripes showing for the most part.
Coordinates given are for Lynde Shore Conservation area. Coordinates for the town of Whitby are: 43.53 N, 78.56 W
