This has been one of the most exciting experiences I have had in my years of bird watching. I observed a Bald Eagle on Blennerhassett Island on the Ohio River between Parkersburg, WV. and Belpre, OH. The female eagle was first spotted in the nest working on it as it is just being built and then later in a tree close by. This sighting was at about 12:15 today, Mon. January 29, 2001. It was a gorgeous sight.
