Robin was seen hopping about the yard about mid-afternoon. We had had rain last night, freezing temps overnight so there was ice in the yard, but, it warmed considerably during the day and the sun appeared, causing puddles in the frozen lawn. The robin seemed to be searching for food in the puddles.(worms?) The bird looked very healthy and I wonder if he is perhaps a winter survivor and never did migrate.
