American Robins mostly just spend the winter in my
area. There is a small breeding population in my town,
and I imagine they breed throughout Mississippi. As
far as "waves" are concerned, I would not describe
them that way here. In winter in Mississippi, robins
are typically found in flocks, sometimes very large
flocks. The robins in my neighborhood (which I suspect
consist mostly of birds that will head north soon)
have been singing up a storm lately; we've had a week
of warmer weather. The next few days are supposed to
get quite a bit cooler; I will try and keep a mental
note of weather the robins keep singing.
