I heard the first robin singing here just this morning! Nest building begins here in late March or early April, and egg laying peaks during the second week in April.


As for spring moving north, there is a general rule that spring begins 1 week later for every 10 degrees latitude you move north. It is a very general rule, and works a bit better for plants than animals, but it may give you an idea of when robins might start breeding (further north).
