Today in the yard were 18
cedarwaxwings eating the privet black berries, several robins eating the
crabapples, a V of canada geese(20) heading north,
2 pair of red tail hawks were courtshipping high above my house, belted
kingfisher in the creek, turkeys chirping and I saw at least 8 at the
end of our field, a pair of blue birds were eating the mealworms I put
out for them...lots of activity at the feeders with ~50 house finches, 2
carolina wrens, a pair each of downy, hairy and redbellied woodpeckers,
35 dark eyed juncos, 5 tufted titmice, 8 black capped chickadees, 15
house sparrows, 1 starling, 8 white throated sparrows, 6 tree sparrows,
6 goldfinches, and15 cardinals.A new bird to the yard and year list for
me was the brown creeper.
