I just got thinking that you might find it interesting
that we have Common Loons in this area every winter.

Tenkiller Lake, which is in eastern Oklahoma, always
has wintering loons. I think our high count this year
is 130. We also had two Pacifics and one
Red-throated.

Sometimes we're lucky enough to hear them call. We
also get to see them with their breeding plumage
coming on.
