Robins are resident all year here in Squamish, B.C. (a one-hour drive north of Vancouver), though most do head south for the winter. I coordinate a monthly bird count in the Squamish Estuary for the Squamish Estuary Conservation Society. We had 8 robins on the February 11 count, a record high for the month. The average for February counts since 1992 is 2 robins, with a range of 1 to 3.
