Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 02/25/2001

Number: 1

Since we have have the first "real winter" in 3 years, there have not been any Robin sitings other that the occasional 2-3 birds that over winter in the Omaha area. I believe that these are Alaskan birds that winter here annually, but I doubt that any real migrants have come through yet. And with weather patterns threatening to go back to those of winter (it is snowing as I type and sub-zero temps are forecast for early in the week), it's a good bet the "real migration" won't occur in the Omaha area until we are well into March.
