Debbie and I were standing on our front porch when an adult male
Ruby-throated Hummingbird checked us out at close range. He went to
everything that even looked like a flower before retiring to the Wax
myrtles. This is our first Ruby-throat for the year and as in years past,
the timing of the first visit seems to correspond with the blooming of our
Carolina Jessamine.
