Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/25/2001

Number: 1

Robins are with us all year here in the Carolinas. They form flocks,
sometimes in the hundreds, and feed in groups on small fruits and in fields.
Bad weather will send them into the woods, but the roaming bands pop back out
when the fronts pass. It is still several weeks before they become
territorial. Even with the April-like showers this morning and the unusual
high of 65 degrees F this afternoon (wierd weather!), we're still a month
away from spring.
