Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/26/2000

Number: 1

Even though many Robins that live in the larger towns/cities and do not leave, I have not seen any robins all winter. The area from where I reside very seldom has wintering robins. This morning I saw a single robin in my yard. It was 7:15 am, light snow, and cold - around 18 degrees. I live 4 miles outside of a very small town, have 20 acres, lots of wild life during the
winter months. It was exciting to see this sign of Spring which brings an end to the very long winter we've had this year. This years' winter can be equated to the winters which I remember as a child in the 1960's - lots of snow and extremely cold.
