The Baltimore Oriole I mentioned has been here all winter. Occasionally
NC gets B. Orioles that overwinter here, usually immatures. This winter
there were @ 5-6 reports of B. Oriole winter sightings in this area.
We don't have them breeding in our area, but they do breed a little more
west of us in the western half of NC. I think we're just out of their
breeding range.
I see the Oriole at the feeder daily, but as the weather warms up I don't
know if he'll be as visible before he leaves. Today is supposed to reach the
upper 60's!!
